CYPRUS AS A CONTAINER HUB:
Cyprus is strategically located in the north eastern corner of the Mediterranean and is in
an excellent position to be used as the transhipment hub particularly for Europe - Far
East Operators. The Cyprus
Ports Authority has invested heavily on container port facilities. Handling rates average
30 containers per crane per hour, which rate compares favourably with major container
terminal.
EXCELLENT FEEDER CONNECTIONS: Cyprus
is being served by many Liner Companies short sea operators as well as by a fleet of
feeders servicing mother vessels calling at Limassol/Larnaca to discharge their cargoes
intended for neighbouring ports, and this will, no doubt, assist in securing the speediest
and economical transportation of containers.

vast number of ancient monuments, sites, castles and forts.
